Nana and Papa sent a big box with presents in it. I had to dive in to make sure all of the presents were out. I took two Dora dolls in with me to help. One was really small and daddy had to really look to find her and get her out. I like playing in this box so much that we're keeping it until Nana and Papa get here in a few days.
I like to get in some baking this time of the year. I let mommy help me - we told daddy to stay out of the kitchen except to take pictures. I made my first gingerbread house. And we made cookies!

Sometimes if I'm good mommy and daddy let us eat dinner downstairs while watching TV. The other night a man brought pizza to our front door and we ate it downstairs!

Holiday Festival

A week ago I went to a Holiday Festival with my friend Landry (we let our parents tag along, they seem to like to follow us around like that). Thanks to Landry's parents we have pictures, my parents are getting old and can't remember to bring the camera (Mommy does claim something about baby brain - not sure what Daddy's excuse is though). We got to see Santa, a magic tree and each got a balloon insect made. Landry got a bumblebee and I got a butterfly. We had a lot of fun even though it was really cold that night.

Visit with Santa

Last night Mommy and Daddy took me to the mall to see Santa. I was a little timid but I sat on his lap and told him that I've been a good girl and what I would like for Christmas "Dora presents". I got scared when everyone was trying to get me to smile for the pictures, I started crying and wanted my Mommy so I forgot to tell him that I would share my Dora presents with my new brother because that is what I told Mommy on the way home. I also forgot to tell him that my dog Puck has been a good boy all year and would like a "puppy bone" in his stocking, but I'm sure Santa already knows that because he's always watching to see if we are naughty or nice. Of course I'm at the top of the nice list!

Here I am with Puck. And in my bed with all my stuffed animals! Puck is a good fella, he was real nice to all of our company during Thanksgiving. I like to give him gentle touches.

Mommy, daddy and I worked hard to get the house and food ready for company for Thanksgiving (well, mommy and I worked hard). Daddy helped me vacuum. Aunt Gretchen, Uncle Kevin and baby Logan spent two nights with us. We also went to Grandma Schulte's house and took a picture with Grandma and all my cousins on mommy's side of the family.

Baby Logan and I are having a tea party!

Grandpa is reading to baby Logan, Dora, and me!

Here I am with baby Logan, Ethan, and Sadie.

Sad and Blue

Last night as I was putting Lauren to bed, Blue Christmas by Elvis came on the radio, Lauren was asking why he was singing Blue Christmas and what that means. I explained to her that feeling blue is another way of saying that you feel sad. We talked about emotions for a few minutes and she seemed satisified with the answer. This morning on the way to Kindercare she said "Mommy, sometimes I feel sad", I asked why she felt sad sometimes and she said "because I'm turning blue".

What I want to name my brother....

Monday we went to see the baby in Mommy's tummy. They told me that I'm having a brother. I'm not sure I like that, I really wanted a sister. The doctor said the baby was doing well and is measuring a week bigger (he's only 20 weeks but is measuring 21 weeks, weighs almost a pound). Mommy asked me what I wanted to name my new brother. I thought about it for a minute and then told her "girl", she said she didn't think that "girl" was a very good name for a boy. I think it's a good compromise since I wanted a sister and am not getting one. At dinner I told Daddy my name suggestion, he didn't like it much either. Maybe I can keep working on them until the baby comes and get my way. Any help you can give me in convincing Mommy and Daddy to name the new baby "girl" would be appreciated. :)
