Blake's 9 month appt

Blake had his 9 month doctors visit yesterday. He is doing well, his growing has slowed down a little (thank goodness) and he has slimmed down a bit which is normal around this age when kids start really moving. His #'s have always hovered around 90% but now his height is 75% and his weight is 60%. He is 28.5" tall (the exact same measurement as Lauren at 9m, but on the girls chart that put her in the 90%) and he weights 20lb 14oz. (Lauren was also in the 60% for her weight at 9m, she weighed 19lb 6oz). He only had to get his second dose of flu shot and I don't even think he noticed when she stuck him with the needle, he was just trying to flip over and go play, crazy kid. He was very happy the entire visit and charming everyone with his big toothless grin.

Cruising and sleeping

Blake is cruising and crawling everywhere now. He also took a nap after a big Thanksgiving day meal (even though he didn't eat any of the traditional food - he wanted to practice for his future turkey-day food coma's).

Eating, laughing and deer heads

I'm smiling and laughing and having a good time because of A) Blake's mean face saying he'll eat however he wants and make a big mess; B) because of the great fall weather in November has allowed me to play alot on my swing set; or C) because daddy actually thinks he can put his deer head on the wall above the fireplace.

Halloween

Blake had a fun time for his first Halloween. I showed him how to play golf in the morning...

He got to snuggle with Abuela and Grandpa...

Then my cousins came over and we dressed up for trick or treating...

Here I am with Mommy (she's a party pooper and didn't dress up) and Blake as a lion.
Blake and I with some of our cousins and Sadie's friend Kyle

This one you can see Blake's face (a little)

And here I am with my Mickey Mouse pumpkin

And at the first house trick or treating (Blake stayed home with Grandpa and Abuela while the rest of us went out to get some candy, he's too little to have candy anyway).

Lauren really wanted to try on some hand-me-down costumes for Blake (for future years). Here she is in a bear costume a few sizes too small. And below that she is showing some love for Blake. We took a long weekend in Branson recently and visited the Butterfly Palace - Lauren loved it along with the go-karts and putt-putt golf.

Nana and Papa sent some gifts - Blake's are laying around him and Lauren is holding one of hers. Thanks Nana and Papa! We'll send pictures of the kids in their costumes. Blake has officially crawled (not much but some) and is pulling up on lots of things.

Backyard Camping

A week and-a-half ago, Lauren wanted to go camping. So I found the tent and put it up while she was napping. She was very excited - we weren't sure she'd stay the whole night since it was her first time and it got down to the upper 30's. She had a blast and never mentioned the cold or wanting to come inside. Before camping we cooked marshmallow's and made smore's over a fire.

The backyard project that was started in April for the swingset and play area is now done. And Blake is getting closer to crawling......

Crawling!

Blake has been able to get anywhere he wants for quite some time now with his army crawl. He did recently start getting up on his hands and knees, here are some pictures of him crawling from Aunt Heather today.

Me and my friend Ben
Hi everyone!!

Cousin 'big' Logan's birthday at Flipz

My cousin 'big' Logan had his birthday party at Flipz. Blake, mommy, and daddy had a great time with the gymnastic equipment and so did I. Mommy and daddy didn't want the pictures of them on here. Blake took a tumble and came up smiling.

Lauren has had her first two soccer practices. It takes her a while to let go of her soccer ball, but she loves it. It's a group called Tiger Toes for ages 3-6.
