Birthday pictures

It's been a busy week since my birthday and birthday party. Mommy and Daddy have a contract on our house so we have to move on June 18th. We also have a contract on a new house to close on June 20th. We will be homeless for a couple of days. Mommy and Daddy are worried about how I'll handle it, but I keep telling them I'm easy going and will take it in stride. My Grandma Schulte is also moving at the same time we are. It's going to be one hectic month!
My eye surgery is on Thursday. I can't eat anything after midnight, it's going to be hard when I wake up hungry not to be able to have anything to eat or drink. I can't wait until it's over and my eye won't have to be wiped anymore.

My birthday party on Saturday at the park, it turned out cold and rainy, unusual weather for the end of May.

Walking!!

I thought I'd share a video with you of me walking. I'm getting so much better. It took me a while but today I made it all the way across the living room by myself. It was a big day today because this is the first time I've taken over 5 steps by myself!! Look out world!!

Almost ONE!

Today is my last day of being an infant. Tomorrow is the big day that I turn one year old. I'm lucky and some friends of Mommy and Daddy and family have already sent me presents and I begged and begged them and they finally let me open a few presents early. Here are some videos and pictures of me opening the presents. Thank you so much Nichol, Dave, Syd and Jacob and Ty and Jerry. I still have presents from Aunt Peggy, Aunt Gretchen and Nana and Papa that Mommy and Daddy are making me wait to open.

First trip to the zoo

Today Mommy and Daddy took off work and took me to the St. Louis Zoo. I was so excited that I took a nap on the way there to make the drive go by faster. I loved looking at the animals but was most excited by the Carousel and clapped and squealed as we approached. I was so excited to ride on the Carousel, but got afraid to ride the horse by myself (with Mommy holding onto me) so we decided to sit on the bench that doesn't move instead of the horse that moves and both had fun going around and around. I think my favorite animals were the Penguins because I could get the closest to them, there was one that was having a lot of fun swimming and splashing all the visitors, including me and Daddy. :) Here are some pictures from my day....

First Steps

Well I finally did it. I took my first steps all by myself this morning. Mommy had put me down at Kindercare and I wasn't ready for her to leave so I put out my arms up reaching to my Mommy so she would pick me back up, I guess she didn't understand what I wanted because she just waived at me and said bye-bye. So I was forced to take matters into my own hands and take a step toward her. Daddy was there and he said "look, she just took a step" so I had to do it again to make my Daddy happy so I took a second step towards Mommy. I guess she finally understood that I meant business and wanted to be held because she picked me up and gave me a big hug and kisses and was so happy to be holding me again. Ms. Barb then took me and was holding me so I could waive bye-bye to Mommy and Daddy through the window as they left.

Eye surgery June 5th!

My eye surgery is scheduled for June 5th. We have PreOp on May 28th and find out all the details of where to go and when to be there and what time my last meal can be, etc. So I will update more after we get more info.
