Dad spent time helping Grandpa Deiter clean up some things and showed Blake and me a picture of his senior prom. We spent some time on the Katy Trail, celebrated 4th of July at Grandma Schulte's house, and spent more time at Grandpa and Abeula's. While there I learned more about sewing and I brought home 3 caterpillars (can you see the one on my shirt?) and one of them turned into a butterfly! We also went to the American Girl Doll store in St. Louis.

June Fun
In June we did more fun things. We went to Grandpa and Abuela's farm and Blake sat on Grandpa's new John Deere mower. Lauren also made an awesome craft and picture for me for Father's Day! More about our summer in the next post.....

Trip to the Oregon coast in May
In May we went to see Nana and Papa in Beaverton, Oregon. We spent the night at their house then went to the coast and spent several nights at a house we rented. It was Blake's first time at the beach. We played in the sand, flew kites, got in the water, roasted marshmallows, and had a great time!

Grant's Farm and Tadpoles
We took the kids to Grant's Farm for the first time and the highlight was feeding the baby goats. The kids loved it! Grandpa and Abuela have given us tadpoles a couple of times from their farm. We haven't gotten any to grow to frogs yet, but we're still trying.

Blake turns 3
Yes, you are seeing correctly, we started off Blake's birthday with a present for me from Nana and Papa. They know just what a girl wants!
Blake also got to open one Nana and Papa present before his party
Blake dressed as Batman for his party, he had fun running around as a crime fighter.
We all dressed as a superhero.
It was a lot of fun
Blake LOVES Chuck E Cheese's. This is his 3rd party there.
Mommy, Blake and Lauren
Blake trying on daddy's Two Face mask, we love fighting Two Face (aka...Daddy)
Winter Fun
We had a couple of good snows this winter (finally in February) so school was closed and even work for mom and dad one day. We had lots of fun playing in the 11 inches of snow the first snow and roughly 20 inches of snow after the second snow. We had enough snow piled on either side of the driveway we made an igloo and a snow tunnel fully equiped with a window.
When we weren't playing outside we were finding fun things to do inside with our imagination. I love to pay school bus (probably because my school doesn't have buses that we ride to and from school) so I line up my chairs and animals and drive them around on my bus.
Blake received some birthday presents in the mail and we had lots of fun playing in the packing peanuts while mommy was "sleeping in" until 7:30 one morning, she didn't say much when she came out and saw the mess we had made (with daddy's permission of course). Daddy wasn't super happy when he had to clean those up by himself either, they seem to stick to everything and static makes them fly away from you when you get close to them....as a kid I think this is cool.
