Blake is saying more words every day. Last Saturday he said "belly button" very clearly, but has since refused to say it again and will only give a big grin if you ask him to.
We were dog sitting last week and Nina is the name of one of the dogs. Blake enjoyed saying Nina the entire time she was visiting us. This morning he said "hi baby" several times in the car and at Aunt Heather's house today one of the dogs escaped and he ran to the door and yelled "dog Willow" (the dogs name is Willow) over and over again. It's fun to see what new words he will say every day.

Summertime Fun
Here's an update on my summer. I had a great time at my good friend Landry's birthday party at Flipz. I made her a homemade card too!
Blake and I like to put on mommy's shoes and wear them around. Blake won't like this picture in a few years.

Our baby birds grew up and are now gone. We also let the butterflies go after they were with us for a few days.

My dad and great-Grandpa Anderson built this picnic table in Hays, KS in the 1970's. It's old (but daddy says he's not old).

Great-Grandpa Anderson
Nels Anderson - 1923 - 2011
My great-granddad Anderson passed away unexpectedly on July 1. He was my papa Anderson's dad. My dad says great-granddad Anderson was a great example of "The Greatest Generation". He served in the pacific in World War II and never spoke about his experiences until after he went on his Honor Flight a couple of years ago. I always enjoyed my trips there to see him and great-grandma in Holyrood, KS. My last trip there was in April when my Grandpa Deiter and my dad went to get a lawn mower that great-granddad gave to my dad. That was just two weeks after we were in Holyrood for their 65th wedding anniversary in April.

Butterflies
Lauren has always liked butterflies so Vicki ordered some and we can let them grow. They come as catepillars and grow into their cocoons, then hatch into butterflies. They grow very fast - the first picture is when they arrived. The second picture is today. The cocoons are hanging in the net for when they turn into butterflies. The net is hanging over Lauren's bed with the other butterflies that are always there. The third picture is from yesterday just before we moved them to the net. And the bottom picture is from last week when Lauren and her friend Landry had their face's painted with you guessed it - butterflies.

Father's Day and baby birds
We have a bird's nest in our yard and all three eggs hatched a few days ago. Daddy and I love to watch them - we go out every day and take a picture.
Here are some pictures of the baby birds and from when we gave daddy his Father's Day present. Yesterday we went to see Grandpa and we gave him his Father's Day presents. We chased rabbits, tried to feed them carrots, and looked at Grandpa's new shed.
(I have no idea why the pictures posted out of order).

Lauren's 4th Birthday
Lauren turned 4 on May 22nd. She got a lot of great cards and gifts from family and friends. She is really into dresses and wears them every day. She also got some Rapunzel hair and a jeep (which Blake loves). She had a family party at Flipz with all her cousins and lots of aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
